I know! I love the idea of them creating something especially for mothers and the way the women came together to make the experience even more enriching.

The first draft is much more than a “garbage draft” or whatever people are calling it these days. I find it is usually my best writing, and yeah, if I tighten it up too much it looses any magic it might’ve had. Definitely a balance, because it always needs editing. I liken it to IKEA furniture, get it tight, but don’t do that last , final tighten. That’s when I go to far.

Lol! That's a very visceral analogy. We all know that feeling of turning that funny little wrench too many times.

I like to think I'm the kind of editor who helps writers protect those gems through the revision process. Thanks for sharing!
