What if you knew exactly what steps to take next?
This is your guide to creative success and satisfaction. It’s like a book map for your life, and the star of the story is you!
We’ve been taught that writing is difficult, at least if you’re doing it right, and the publishing process is filled with unpredictable ups and downs. It’s certainly true there’s much that’s out of our control, and I’m way too familiar with the self doubt and heartbreak that can come with sending your work out into the world. But I’ve learned it doesn’t need to be that way. I believe it’s totally possible to enjoy the creative process, fall in love with your work, and make art you’re so proud of that you can’t wait to share it with the world. And when you do that, readers are excited to join you on your creative journey.
Writers have been witnessing and shaping the world with their art for thousands of years. Just as we study the work of the writers we admire, we can study the path they’ve taken and find a pattern emerges. Writers move from students to masters through a series of predictable steps. That means we can take those same steps too.
I hope understanding the journey that successful writers take will inspire you, and by knowing what lies ahead, you’ll gain the confidence to keep going. At the same time, your journey won’t look exactly like anyone else’s. And that’s just how it’s meant to be!
You have your own unique gifts, and only you can do the work you’re meant to do.
I can’t wait to see what you create! Let’s get started.
