I used to work in a bookstore (Rizzoli, which eventually became Book Soup), and I loved doing the window displays, especially during the holidays, when we featured all the gorgeous coffee table books. A few years later I worked at Paper Source, and the retail holiday season made its way deeper into my DNA, as we displayed all the colorful stocking stuffers and turned them into pretty gifts at the most deluxe wrapping station in the world.
Now I don’t want to go anywhere near a mall between November and January, but I do love a good gift guide. Maybe I just like discovering something new, whatever form it comes in! I’ve been posting my own gift guide for several years now, and I often hear from readers that they appreciate getting new ideas from someone who is always studying the market. Inside you’ll my personal favorites from the year, books by women in the Mothers Who Make community, toys that have been making our lives easier or just more fun, and more. But rather than taking these as expert recommendations, I hope you’ll see of these as invitations to explore, play, and give generously to your favorite people. Enjoy, friends!
Love this. Thanks so much for including my book!
