I’m taking a break from Instagram and Substack this summer, but I’ll still be here to guide you through the writing process.
I created Start Small to help write your book this summer. When you join, you’ll…
Get instant access to the workbook filled with mini assignments
Receive real-time feedback, so you don’t have to guess what to do
Meet other writers who are making time for their dreams
Learn how to write a book in ten minutes a day
Be ready to revise by fall
If you’re not sure if this is for you, I’d love to hear from you. Simply reply back and say “Hey, I am struggling with XYZ do you think this will help?” And I will be 100% honest with you.
I would love to welcome you inside if you want to write a book this summer.😎
The difference between Start Small and other writing classes is that Start Small gives you everything you need to JUMP IN and write. Studying character development and plot, learning how to outline, and experimenting with dialogue can all be really helpful, but only if they lead you to actually WRITE YOUR BOOK. You already know more than you think you do about writing a book, and I’ll help you figure out the rest along the way, with personal check-ins all summer long. The mini assignments in the Start Small make writing simple and fun, so you can make progress without getting overwhelmed. And the writers who have already signed up are going to be a fun, supportive bunch, and I’m excited to open the Voxer room next weekend.
Start Small is only open for 6 more days!
This Week I’m…
Wondering if we can apply this business model to children’s books 😍
Loving this map of fully-fenced in playgrounds (IYKYK)👏
Swooning over this 1910 book of perfume labels👃
Thinking this would be a super cute client gift 📚
Appreciating the international angle this writer brought to the summer-childcare conundrum we find ourselves in (Also did you see childcare costs more than rent for most families?) 😬
Channeling these glam grannies🌈
If you enjoyed this post, please 💛 it so others can find it or share it with your favorite creative mothers.
PS—The fastest way to grow as a writer is to book a manuscript critique or a creative coaching session with an expert.
My clients get agents, sell books, and win awards. They also learn how to find ease and joy in the creative process, so they can keep going when life gets hard.
